High Technical Oversight and Central Directive: Karbala Hosts Its First Central Colored Belt Promotion Exam with Wide
Participation

Karbala, Iraq In a move to unify standards and elevate performance levels, the First Central Colored Belt Promotion Exams in Karbala Governorate were successfully held on Friday, November 14, 2025. The exams were hosted by the Kamikaze Dojo (Hayy Al-Muwadhafeen Activities Branch) and saw a massive turnout, exceeding 65 players and trainees across various beginner ranks (White, Orange, Blue, and Yellow belts).Dojo Gathering and UnityThis gathering affirmed the strength and unity of the Karbala Activities Department. The exams were attended by an elite group of fighters representing four main dojos, in addition to guests from Baghdad:* Al-Shuhada Dojo (Al-Bughanim Branch), led by Ustad Hussein Jawad Al-Ghanimi.* Al-Kamikaze Dojo (Hayy Al-Muwadhafeen Branch), led by Ustad Jaafar Sadiq Awda.* Al-Nasl Al-Malaki Dojo (Al-Ataishi Branch), led by Ustad Dhurgham Ali Abdul Amir Al-Masoudi.* Samurai Shin Dojo (Al-Wand Branch), led by Ustad Amir Sadiq Khleif.* Participants from Al-Zaeem Dojo (Al-Kadhimiya Activities Branch, Baghdad).Central Oversight, Technical, and Administrative LeadershipThe exams were conducted under the direct guidance of Shihan Iyad Al-Khafaji, President of the Oyama Karate Organization and Iraq Branch Chief of the WKO Shin Kyokushinkai. The exams featured central technical supervision to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism, led by the Technical Committee:* Sensei Riyad Aref Abdul Amir Al-Fattal (3rd Dan), Head of the Baghdad Activities Department.* Sensei Dhurgham Ali Abdul Amir (3rd Dan), Head of the Karbala Activities Department.* Sempai Mustafa Sabah Maarouf (2nd Dan), and the esteemed Branch Heads: Amir Sadiq Khleif, Hussein Jawad Hadi, and Jaafar Sadiq Awda.On the administrative side, the presence of the Head of the Financial and Administrative Department contributed to the organization, reflecting the leadership's commitment to supporting central activities.Champion Support and Public AttendanceTo inspire and motivate the trainees, the exams were honored by the presence of a group of Iraqi champions, most notably the Iraq Champion for the Under 60kg weight class, Hussein Majed Qasim, and the Under 80kg runner-up, Ameer Yahya Abdul Ali.In conclusion of this major event, where the total attendance was estimated at over 100 individuals (including players, coaches, organizers, and spectators), an atmosphere of joy and mutual congratulations prevailed, underscoring the strong cohesion that binds the organization's members.Through the organization of this central exam, the Oyama Karate Organization reaffirms its steadfast commitment to developing technical performance and elevating the level of champions across the governorates.
