Activity: Conclusion of a basic arbitration course for Shin Kyokushinkai Karate Date: Tuesday, February 18, 2025 Location: Iraq - Baghdad - Kadhimiya - Khan Farman - Al-Noor Academy for Martial Arts Organization: Oyama Karate Organization / Baghdad Activities Department / Head of Department Riyad Arif Abdul Amir Al-Fattal ------- Oyama Karate Organization Graduates Elite Referees in Basic Shinkyokushinkai Karate Course -------- Baghdad Hosts Landmark Referee Course, Elevating Shinkyokushinkai Standards in IraqIn a pioneering stride towards advancing Shinkyokushinkai Karate in Iraq, the Oyama Karate Organization successfully concluded the "Basic Referee Course" in Baghdad, within the sacred city of Kadhimiyah, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Held at the Al-Noor Academy for Martial Arts in Khan Farman, the course marked a significant turning point in honing refereeing expertise and fostering awareness of the game's rules. The three-week course, conducted for three hours weekly, was meticulously organized by the "Baghdad Activities Department" of the Oyama Organization, led by Department Head Mr. Riyadh Arif Al-Fattal. Esteemed expert Professor Mustafa Sabah Marouf Al-Kubaisi volunteered as the course lecturer, enriching trainees with his extensive knowledge and experience in refereeing. Mr. Noor Abbas Karim and Mr. Karrar Hassan Jamil also contributed to supervision and organization as volunteers, under the overall supervision of Mr. Iyad Al-Khafaji, President of the Oyama Karate Organization.The course witnessed active participation from 12 trainees holding various belt ranks, spearheaded by a distinguished cohort of promising names in the world of Shinkyokushinkai, namely: Noor Abbas Karim, Karrar Hassan Jamil, Abdullah Abdul Amir Muhammad, Ali Ahmed Al- , Muhammad Haider, Samer Hassan Helou, Abbas Ali, Mustafa Ayed, Malek Nayef Malek, Musa Hussein Abd, Hussein Majed Qasim, and Haider Nizar. Furthermore, the course garnered notable attendance from over 30 novice players, eager to learn about the game's laws and acquire fundamental knowledge of competition rules.Mr.Ayad Al-Khafaji, President of the Oyama Karate Organization, emphasized in a statement the paramount importance of this course. He highlighted its role as a cornerstone for developing the level of advanced players and enhancing their ability to effectively participate in various championships and competitions, with complete understanding of the game's rules. He also stressed the significance of integrating distinguished graduates into the refereeing ranks to ensure efficient and fair management of matches.In an interview with the course lecturer, Mustafa Al-Kubaisi, he expressed his delight at the strong turnout from novice players, affirming their passion for learning about competition rules and their readiness to engage in refereeing in the future. Al-Kubaisi added: "(I observe a strong turnout from novice players eager to learn about the basic competition rules and their readiness to join the refereeing ranks in upcoming championships. However, they need further intensive courses in the future. I extend my thanks to the administration of the Oyama Karate Organization and Mr.Ayad Al-Khafaji, the President of the Organization, for providing the opportunity for everyone, and I thank Karrar Hassan Jamil for his assistance in this course). "From his part, Mr. Karrar Hassan Jamil, a course participant and volunteer contributor to the organization, conveyed the great benefit the course provided to participants, stating: "(The course was very beneficial for the players and coaches who participated in it or were in attendance. We benefited from it in learning the rules of the game and the basics of playing in competitions during championships and bouts. God willing, the participants will be ready to participate as new referees in the upcoming championships, God willing). "With this successful conclusion, the Oyama Karate Organization has taken a significant step towards strengthening refereeing competencies in Shinkyokushinkai Karate and qualifying a new generation of referees capable of managing upcoming competitions and championships efficiently and competently.
