Governor of Karbala Receives Delegation from Al-Masoud Tribe and Receives .Commemorative Gift from Oyama Karate OrganizationA Visit Reflecting Community Bonds and Mutual AppreciationIn a gesture reflecting the depth of community ties and mutual appreciation, the esteemed Governor of Karbala received a high-level delegation from the venerable Al-Masoud tribe yesterday, Saturday, March 1st, 2025. The visit, led by the Sheikh and Leader of the Al-Masoud tribe in Iraq and the Arab world, Sheikh Hassan Sabah Al-Samarmad, highlighted the great importance the tribe places on supporting activities and organizations serving the community, including the Oyama Karate Organization. The delegation, warmly received by the Governor, included a distinguished group of Al-Masoud tribe dignitaries and prominent figures, among them Mr. Muhammad Al-Masoudi, a member of the Karbala Governorate Council, and Mr. Durgam Ali Abdul Amir Al-Masoudi, Head of the Karbala Activities Department at the Oyama Karate Organization . This diverse representation, encompassing tribal and social leaders, reflects the significance that the Al-Masoud tribe attaches to this visit and its potential outcomes. In a gesture of appreciation expressing gratitude and pride in the existing cooperation, Mr. Durgam Ali Abdul Amir Al-Masoudi presented a valuable commemorative gift to the Governor of Karbala, on behalf of the Karbala Branch of Shinkyokushin, affiliated with the Oyama Karate Organization. The commemorative gift was a replica of the sword of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), famously known as "Zulfiqar," a sword symbolizing justice, strength, and wisdom in Islamic history. This gift carries a deep symbolic meaning, representing the values of integrity and courage that the Oyama Karate Organization seeks to instill in its members. Accompanying the commemorative gift were souvenir photos of the Governor with Mr. Durgam Ali Abdul Amir, as well as two verses of poetry expressing wisdom and appreciation:"Opinion before the bravery of the brave is the first and it is the second place,If they combine in a free soul, it reaches every place of the highest rank"These two verses of poetry reflect the philosophy upon which the Oyama Karate Organization is founded, which combines physical strength and mental wisdom, and emphasizes the importance of sound thinking and meticulous planning before undertaking any action -fundamental values in martial arts and in life in general. This visit is considered a positive step towards strengthening cooperation between the Oyama Karate Organization and influential institutions and figures in the local community in Karbala, and reflects the appreciation the organization enjoys and its role in serving youth and sports.
