--------- Karbala Branch of Oyama Karate Unites Its Ranks in the First Official Gathering of Its Branches-----In a step reflecting the continuous development and growth of the Oyama Karate Organization in Iraq, the Karbala Activities Department witnessed its first official gathering of its three branches in the governorate last Thursday, corresponding to March 20, 2025. Al-Shohadaa Hall in the Karbala Al-Hussainiya area, near Al-Sadda, hosted the activities of this important meeting, which was supervised by the Director of the Karbala Activities Department, the esteemed Professor Dargam Ali Abdul Amir.Three prominent branches from the Karbala Governorate participated in this distinctive gathering:* Al-Nasl Al-Malaki Academy at the Youth Forum of Al-Hussainiya, supervised by Professor Dargam Ali Abdul Amir.* Karbala Al-Wand Branch, led by the Iraqi champion in Shin Kyokushinkai Karate for the 80 kg weight class, Professor Amir Sadiq Khalif.* Al-Bu Ghanim Branch, supervised by the esteemed coaches Hussein Jawad and Makki Ali.The gathering witnessed a remarkable attendance of approximately 50 players practicing Shin Kyokushinkai Karate, registered with the Karbala Activities Department of the Oyama Organization. These participants represented various ranks and technical levels, ranging from beginners to advanced practitioners.The gathering's program included a diverse set of training segments aimed at refining the players' skills and enhancing the exchange of experiences among them, including:* Intensive basic training on defensive, offensive, and stability movements.* Advanced technical training focusing on combining a set of movements to effectively apply defensive, offensive, or stability techniques.* Integrated training units in Kata and Kihon, in addition to fitness and strength exercises to raise the overall performance level of the players.On this occasion, Mr. Dargam Ali Abdul Amir, Director of the Karbala Activities Department, emphasized the great importance of this first official gathering of its kind, considering it one of the pivotal activities that contributes to strengthening communication and the exchange of technical expertise among the department's members. He added, "This gathering represents an important step towards developing the skills of all our players in Shin Kyokushinkai Karate, and we will strive to repeat such activities in the near future, God willing, with the aim of elevating the level of karate in Karbala to broader horizons." This successful gathering reflects the Oyama Karate Organization's keenness to activate its activities in various governorates of Iraq and to unify the efforts of its branches to serve the sport of karate and spread its noble principles among young people. .
