Oyama Karate Organization's Baghdad Division Organizes Successful Training Gathering in Al-Taji Branch to Boost Fitness and Exchange Expertise ..................................... Baghdad - As part of continuous efforts to develop the level of players and strengthen ties between branches, the Baghdad Activities Division of the Oyama Karate Organization held a joint training gathering on May 1, 2025. This activity came under the direct guidance of Shihan Ayad Al-Khafaji, President of the Organization, emphasizing the importance of fieldwork and direct communication with players and trainers. The sports hall affiliated with the Al-Taji Activities Branch in the Um Al-Udham area hosted this training unit, which witnessed the participation of a group of distinguished players representing several main branches of the division. Players from the division's headquarters, who train at Al-Noor Academy under the leadership of Senpai Karrar Azzawi, participated in the gathering. They were joined by players from Al-Batool Branch led by Senpai Ali Ahmed, the Open Weight Runner-up in ShinKyokushinkai sport in Iraq, as well as players from the host Al-Taji Branch, led by the Iraqi Lightweight Champions in ShinKyokushinkai, brothers Musa Hussein and Faris Hussein. The training unit saw the active participation of approximately 15 players of various ages and technical grades. It is expected that the number of direct and indirect beneficiaries of this developmental activity will reach around 50 Shin Kyokushinkai Karate practitioners in the capital, Baghdad. The joint training unit's program included an intensive technical aspect covering basic exercises (Kihon) and advanced techniques, alongside important practical engagement segments through friendly bouts (Fights) which allowed players to apply their skills in a competitive-like environment. The training unit was also distinguished by the addition of exercises to enhance physical fitness and strength among participants, as well as dedicating time for the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the attending trainers, reflecting the Organization's keenness to develop the coaching staff as well. The organization of such joint training gatherings underscores the Baghdad Activities Division's endeavor within the Oyama Karate Organization to raise the technical and physical level of ShinKyokushinkai players in the capital, and to promote communication and solidarity among the Organization's various branches, in a constructive step towards further development and success.
