نشرت مجلة "Karate Life" اليابانية، في عددها الصادر لشهري تموز/يوليو وآب/أغسطس 2025 (العدد 138)، تقريرًا ضمن صفحتها المخصصة للأخبار الدولية بعنوان "World Karate Headlines"، سلطت فيه الضوء على إنجاز رياضي مميز للعراق في مجال الكاراتيه.
وجاء في التقرير أن العاصمة بغداد احتضنت بتاريخ 9 آب/أغسطس 2024 فعاليات البطولة السابعة عشرة للكاراتيه شين كيوكوشن في العراق، والتي نظّمتها منظمة أوياما للكاراتيه – فرع العراق، على قاعة جامعة كلكامش.
وتنوّعت منافسات البطولة بين فئات الرجال والشباب والناشئين، وبمختلف أوزانهم، وسط أجواء تنافسية حماسية. وقد شهدت البطولة مشاركة أكثر من 70 لاعبًا قدموا من محافظتي بغداد وكربلاء، وقدموا عروضًا قتالية لاقت إعجاب الحضور والمراقبين.
هذا التوثيق الدولي في مجلة يابانية متخصصة يُعدّ إشادة مباشرة بالتنظيم العراقي واعترافًا بأهمية النشاط الفني والتنافسي المتصاعد في البلاد، خصوصًا في ظل الجهود التي تبذلها منظمة أوياما للكاراتيه لنشر رياضة شين كيوكوشن والارتقاء بمستواها الفني

The article reported that on August 9, 2024, the Iraqi capital Baghdad hosted the 17th Shin Kyokushin Karate Championship, organized by the Oyama Karate Organization – Iraq Branch, at the sports hall of Gilgamesh University.
The tournament included intense competitions across men's, youth, and junior categories, covering various weight divisions. More than 70 athletes from Baghdad and Karbala took part in the event, showcasing strong performances and spirited sportsmanship.
