Delegation from Oyama Karate Organization - Karbala Branch Meets Deputy Governor of Karbala: Government Support for Youth Empowerment and Sports Promotion in the Governorate .... Holy Karbala, Iraq, [ Publication Date - 17 - 7 - 2025 ] In a move reflecting shared interest in developing youth capabilities and supporting the sports movement, Mr. Luqman Al-Maliki, Deputy Governor of Holy Karbala, received an official delegation from the Oyama Karate Organization - Karbala Activities Department, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at his office in the Governorate's Bureau. The delegation was headed by Mr. Dhurgham Ali Abdul Amir Al-Masoudi, Head of Karbala Activities Department, and included a constellation of prominent instructors from the organization, among them Instructor Jaafar Sadiq Ouda and Instructor Makki Ali Hassan, in addition to an elite group of young trainees and athletes affiliated with the organization from the governorate, expressing broad representation of the organization's youth base. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of warmth and welcome, during which both sides engaged in in-depth introductory discussions covering numerous general issues concerning the governorate and the country as a whole, including economic, political, and various societal affairs. In the sports and youth (axis/domain), His Excellency the Deputy Governor, Luqman Al-Maliki, expressed profound interest and full readiness to provide absolute support to the youth and sports sector in the governorate. He emphasized the necessity of enhancing the role of youth and non-governmental civil society organizations. Al-Maliki pledged to overcome all obstacles and difficulties that may face youth activities, thereby opening broader horizons for them to achieve their ambitions. In an inspiring speech delivered by Mr. Al-Maliki during the discussion, he highlighted the aspirations and future hopes of the youth, affirming: "We count on the awareness of youth to build the future. For youth are not spectators, but active partners in decision-making, and their voice is present and heard in every step of reform and development in society." For his part, Mr. Dhurgham Ali Abdul Amir Al-Masoudi, Head of Karbala Activities Department, affirmed that the meeting was "highly fruitful and positive," noting that it offers the youth in the governorate "a promising opportunity to achieve their ambitions and aspirations" in various sports and social fields.
